Andrew Tully - Director
I began my career in 1998 as a boilermaking apprentice with a local structural steel company in Cairns, where I developed a strong foundation in fabrication, welding, and hands-on engineering practices. My early years in the trade instilled a passion for precision, workmanship, and problem-solving—qualities that would shape my diverse and accomplished career.
Following the completion of my apprenticeship, I expanded my professional skill set by transitioning into construction project administration, as well as workplace health and safety, quality assurance, and environmental management. This broad experience gave me a comprehensive understanding of both the operational and compliance sides of large-scale industrial projects.
Throughout this period, I worked closely with various construction contractors on private sector and government projects as well as the Australian Department of Defence, contributing to the maintenance and support of the Australian patrol boat fleet. My ability to coordinate across teams, maintain high safety standards, and deliver consistent quality made me a trusted and respected professional within these sectors.
However, over time, I sought a new challenge—one that would allow me to return to my roots in hands-on engineering while working more closely with clients and project outcomes. Driven by a desire to combine technical expertise with a personal approach, I left the defence industry to establish my own path, focusing on providing practical, client-focused solutions that deliver lasting results.
Today, I continue to bring the same dedication, integrity, and precision to every project I undertake, embodying a balance of technical excellence and genuine customer engagement.
Paul Sutton - Director
Born and raised in Far North Queensland, I grew up in a rural farming community where hard work, resourcefulness, and community spirit were part of everyday life. Those early lessons shaped who I am today — someone who enjoys solving problems, creating practical solutions, and helping others get things done.
I started my career as a boilermaker apprentice in Cairns, learning the ropes of fabrication across agricultural, marine, structural, and earthmoving industries. Along the way, I discovered a love for design and innovation, developing skills in drafting and 3D modelling using tools like AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Autodesk Inventor, and now Fusion 360.
My career has taken me through hands-on fabrication, project and production management, and even a few years helping run my family’s pest control business — a time that reinforced the value of teamwork, trust, and looking after the people around you. I later worked with a local shipbuilding company, managing construction and maintenance projects, and supporting marine division for private, commercial, and defence vessels.
Eventually, a simple idea grew into something bigger — to build a business, with my business partner Andrew, that could genuinely support our local agricultural community. Together, we’ve built a company that provides fabrication and maintenance services, while developing innovative hardfacing practices and cane harvester components designed to last.
Family means everything to me — they’re my greatest source of motivation and balance. Whether it’s spending time outdoors camping, fishing, making music or just relaxing with loved ones, that connection keeps me grounded and inspired.
I get the most satisfaction from taking an idea — whether it’s a practical challenge or a concept for a new product — and turning it into something real. Collaboration, creativity, and community are at the heart of what I do.
